Rare print from 1446 discovered at University of Reading | Quality Printing London

12 May 2017

We were fascinated to hear about the discovery of a rare 15th-century Caxton print in this week’s Print Week Magazine.

The rare find is a page from a 15th century handbook for priests and is thought to have been printed around 1466. Luckily it was discovered by somebody with a knack for spotting rare and interesting artefacts – the Collections Librarian at the University of Reading – whilst she was cataloging a huge collection of pages demonstrating different types used for printing from 15th to 20th Century.
